I call it the Cowboy Blend. Dark roast beans. Medium roast beans. A flavor showdown at high noon on main street outside of the saloon.

Cocoa strutted in first—bold, bitter, mysterious. Caramel followed, smooth-talking and sweet.

Vanilla? She rode in last, soft-spoken but totally unforgettable.

I took one sip and felt like I should be wearing spurs and solving emotional mysteries about all my ex’s under a desert sky.

Then I spilled some on the rug and blamed the tumbleweeds.
